Turns out Dorothy should have been looking somewhere under the rainbow.
Recent visitors to California’s majestic Yosemite National Park bore witness to a stunning natural display of color and light at the base of a protected waterfall, the Daily Mail reports.
As water rushed down the fall’s infamous granite cliffs, a fountain of purple, turquoise, orange, and gold wafted above the valley floor.
Photographer Justin Lee of British Columbia, Canada captured several hundred photographs of the incident from where he stood at the park’s Tunnel View lookout.
“I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to see such a sight, and just had to start taking pictures straight away,” he told the Mail.
Lee told the paper he is inspired by Ansel Adams, one of the most famous photographers in the history of the United States who came to prominence capturing the at-times otherworldly beauty of Yosemite.
