Shia Lebeouf isn’t so shy about his sexuality these days, drifting far away from his innocent Disney image he used to have. He recently sat down for an interview and admitted that he shot personal sex tapes of him and his girlfriend and sent them to “Nymphomaniac” director to try and get the role. Shia LaBeouf says he put his moneymaker where his mouth is to land his role in Lars von Trier’s upcoming movie, “Nymphomaniac.”
“I sent videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that’s how I got the job,” the 26-year-old actor said during a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler’s E! network show.
The “Transformers” star then flashed an “OK” sign to the audience, but kept a straight face to make it unclear if he was joking.
The appearance — promoting his new movie, “Lawless” — comes two weeks after LaBeouf was photographed in an emotional argument with his girlfriend on a Los Angeles street.
Speculation centered on the timing of Karolyn Pho’s meltdown — a day after her actor beau told MTV News he’s willing to have real sex on “Nymphomaniac” if the director calls for it. (Von Trier is just started to shoot ‘Nymphomaniac,” starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, and plans to release both soft-core and hard-core versions of the drama.)
The 23-year-old Pho told the Daily News later, “It’s none of anybody’s business. Everything is fine with us. It was nothing affiliated with his movie.”
