With delays looming over at RIM for the Blackberry 10 devices, rumors are now saying RIM will release 6 Blackberry devices next year.   A year ago RIM announced the Blackberry 10 devices and still nothing new.  With a handful of devices being released in the 4th quarter RIM can not afford to miss another holiday season.

Pocket-lint reports that there will be six BlackBerry 10 devices launching in early 2013, two of which have already been exposed by RIM in a “behind doors sneak peek.” These particular models are said to be the Canadian company’s flagship BB10 devices, “expected to be at the forefront of the new push from RIM and reaffirm its efforts at turning the ship back on course.”

One of them will be a traditional BlackBerry handset with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a 720 x 720 capacitive touch display. The other will be a touchscreen-only handset with a high-definition 1280 x 720 display, which won’t look anything like the alpha BB10 handset RIM has given to developers, according to the report.

Unfortunately the screen resolutions are the only specifications mentioned in the report, but Pocket-lint promises that if you’re a BlackBerry fan, these devices are certainly worth getting excited about:

The two devices are characteristically BlackBerry with design hues taken from the current range, however with a design ethos that carries the experience forward. If you’re a BlackBerry user, trust us when we say you’ll be excited.
