Two divas on one show can really make for some tension, but I’m still rather surprised that there’s any between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. Mariah recruited Nicki for a collab back in 2009 before Nicki even had an album out, so it’s odd that just a few years later, there are so many issues. Earlier this summer, TMZ was reporting that Mimi was NOT feeling the idea of sharing the limelight with Minaj, going so far as to hang up on American Idol reps when they told her Nick was in the running for a judge as well. Yesterday, it was announced that Nicki and country singer Keith Urban had both officially signed on the show, and the first taping in NY went down shortly after. Sources from the set report that Nick and Mimi had some very obvious cattiness going on. Details below. Do you think this will escalate? It’ll certainly make for good TV!
Carey and Nicki Minaj went at it during the first “A.I.” taping Sunday in NYC. When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt — not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah.
One “A.I.” spy said Mariah and Nicki tried to cover their disdain for each other but everyone saw through it, adding, “These girls just don’t like each other.”
Well aint these lil peons try and carry legends!! ha the nerve Nicki needs to stop if this is true. Mariah U a legend so you don’t have to compete in the end she still take lessons from you. But she aint the only up coming puppet act that has the case of the bigheads!!.
I don’t know why they would choose nikki as a judge she hasn’t enough experience in the game to be judging anyone. Why put her by a legend a seasoned vet in the game. Nicki should judge like the best dance crew to get here foot wet. You might as well picked lil kim at least she’s been in the game a long time and knows the industry and talent when she sees it. #Teamlilkim
