A suburban New York woman has been charged with the death of her 4-year-old son.
Manuela Maria Morgado was arraigned in Mamaroneck Village Court on a second-degree murder charge.
Officers found her son, Jason, dead and Morgado half-conscious in her Mamaroneck condo.
Police said they received a call from a relative Monday morning asking them to check on the woman.
At the home, they found the boy dead. The cause of death remains under investigation.
The 46-year-old Morgado was taken to a hospital for evaluation and arraigned late Monday.
Mamaroneck is about 18 miles from Manhattan.
