Apple still has’nt announced their ipad mini but rumors are stating that the device will only be wi-fi.  Not sure how I feel about that, not being able access internet or data might turn away people away from the device.

The report showed up in the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper, which claims to have industry sources that say the iPad mini “will only come in a Wi-Fi version.” Although the Guardian isn’t known as a normal source for early technology leaks, it’s difficult to simply dismiss the new report.
Another high-profile leak from earlier this week even offered high-resolution photos of the rumored device, with close-ups of the casing and comparison shots with the current iPad to show off its smaller size. Still another report this week in the Wall Street Journal claimed that Apple already ordered 10 million iPad mini devices for the coming holiday season.
This raft of new iPhone 5 and iPad mini leaks point to a newly porous distribution chain, which is quite a change from the days of the late Steve Jobs, when secrecy was the company’s primary mission, after innovation. Whether this new culture of leaks is due to a relaxed approach by new CEO Tim Cook, or the result of local factory workers at Apple-contracted overseas companies facilitating early product reveals to outside parties, it appears the days of Apple’s ability to keep its secrets under wraps until launch day are over.
