Some drivers in San Diego, California have decided to head across the border into Tijuana, Mexico where regular gas is priced around $3.30 per gallon. T he average San Diego price is $4.72 per gallon. One San Diego resident identifying himself simply as Joe, said he saves $30 a tank, but others argue that the drive across the border can take hours and it’s not worth the hassle.
Interestingly, Tijuana resident, Eduardo Pinto drives to San Diego to buy more expensive gas because he believes the quality of U.S. gas is higher.
