The devastation of Hurricane Sandy is still being felt by the East Coast. Though I wasn’t hit hard I’ve been watching the news and also paying attention to everyone around me to see who was affected and what’s being done to help. During that time I noticed that Far Rockaway in Queens was one of the most hard hit areas but it wasn’t getting any media coverage. That’s why I was so happy to see members of the New York Knicks go out there and help out. Read more after the jump.
The New York Knicks participated in “Clean Up Far Rockaway”, distributing supplies to 1st responders and families affected by Hurricane Sandy in Far Rockaway, Queens. Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire, Ronnie Brewer and Rasheed Wallace were among those who took part. Check out the pictures in the gallery above.
