Broner landed several body shots but a left uppercut sent DeMarco to the floor with his camp waving the white flag.  Broner celebrated dancing hilariously to his corner.  It was the fifth round where Broner had as close to a perfect round as possible.  Several uppercuts and rights to DeMarco’s face left him battered and bruised.  With the win Broner is now 25-0 with 21 KOs while DeMarco is 28-3-1 with 21 KOs.

“I was shaking and baking him until I flipped him up,” Broner said. “I knew coming into this fight it was going to be a world-class fight. But I knew he didn’t have the skills to beat me.

“I wanted to make a statement tonight and I did. He was definitely the toughest opponent I’ve faced. He was strong and could take a punch.”
