Did you expecrince any problems with iMessage or Facetime yesterday?? Well some customers who upgraded their Macs to OSX 10.6.6 and customers with some idevices had some problems. The problem lasted some 5 hours. Apple didnt give any statements on why iMessage or Facetime were down but they fixed the situation in a timely manner.
iOS devices and Macs with OSX 10.6.6 or higher experienced a nearly five-hour outage, from 11:45 a.m. to 4:32 p.m. PT (2:45 to 7:45 p.m. ET) after the Cupertino, Calif. company’s instant messenger service and video-calling app suffered from downtime.
Apple confirmed the outages on its status page around 1:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. ET), saying that some “users are unable to use” use iMessage or place FaceTime calls.
