The Source is rockin’ out with their 3rd annual ‘Rookie Of The Year” issue, and no other then Kendrick Lamar has made the cover. This guy beat out Jay-Z, Kanye, and others for, Lyricist of the Year at the 2012 BET awards. I see so many things in this guys future. I know I’m off that “Swimming Pool” hard. Drop down bottom for more.

When deciding the cover for The Source’s 3rd annual Rookie Of The Year, The Source staff decided it was a no brainer. Delivering arguably one of the biggest albums of the year with good kid, m.A.A.d city, aligning himself with Aftermath/Interscope records and being just about every where. Not to mention that he won Lyricist Of The Year at the 2012 BET Awards over Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nas and J.Cole. Not a bad rookie year, huh?
