As a Giants fan, I will admit RG3 is a beast…but for a player to say he has nightmares about the guy?! Well that’s different. It’s only Wednesday, but I can’t wait for the game Monday night! I have a lot of friends that are Redskin fans, so you know there’s gonna be all kinds of trash talk going on! #GMEN
Check out what Tuck had to say…
In his first meeting with the Giants, Griffin completed 20 of 28 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. The Redskins held a 23-20 late-game lead until a breakdown by the defense allowed Eli Manning to connect with Victor Cruz on a 77-yard touchdown with 90 seconds left.
Following that game, Giants’ defensive end Justin Tuck said, “I’m pretty mad at the football gods for putting him in the NFC East.”
Now, five weeks later, Tuck was asked by reporters about facing Griffin again.
He replied, “Until I exit stage right, it seems like he’s going to be a fixture in my dreams and nightmares.”
Tuck watched Washington’s Thanksgiving victory over Dallas, specifically to study Griffin.
He came away from that Griffin performance (311 passing yards, four touchdown passes) just as impressed.
“I was hoping to learn that he would slow down a little bit, but that’s not the case,” Tuck told reporters. “He is one of the best dual threats in our game today, and we’re gonna have our hands full trying to stop that guy.”
