The Justice League movie is coming within the next few years and rumors have already been circling about who will be directing, producing, and starring in the movie. Interestingly enough the latest rumors are that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on to play Batman during the movie! JGL just played Robin/Nightwing in Christoper Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. The “Justice League” hasn’t even come close to filming anything yet, but rumor is that Joseph got the role because they wanted someone from the Nolan Batman franchise in the movies since Christian Bale said TDKR would be his last time ever in a Batsuit and Nolan himself wants nothing more to do with Batman. I guess if JGL takes the role of Batman, my hopes of him playing the Joker’s twisted younger brother won’t be coming true. We’ll have to see who they plan on casting for Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Wonder Woman. I’m still hoping for a little bit of Nolan in the movie since he’s already working on Man of Steel, the latest Superman movie. I’m also curious if they are going to include a build up to The Justice League at the end of Man of Steel like they did for The Avengers. Read more below.

JGL’s people have since denied the rumors about him starring in the movie, but the sources are pretty legit and it may just be that the actor doesn’t want to announce anything yet.

According to sources, Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in “Justice League” as the new Batman.

Now here’s where things get interesting. The more insistent the drumbeat has become, the more poking around I’ve been doing, and it’s looking like we may see Gordon-Levitt in the suit earlier than that. They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something.
