Karen Mallet struck gold at her local Goodwill when she purchased a painting dubbed “Red Nose” for under $13 dollars, an investment that has a return of 9,000. The painting is an Alexander Calder lithograph original. This isn’t the first time someone has hit it big at Goodwill, a Salvador Dali original was purchased just a month ago from one location and other valuable artifacts have been walked out of Goodwill stores for significantly marked down prices. Maybe more people will start thrift shopping looking to hit it big instead of taking their chances at the PowerBall which has little consolation for those who don’t strike it rich, at least if you hit up the Goodwill you’re sure to go home with something. Hit the jump for more.
