Yesterday it was announced that LeBron James was named 2012 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year. LeBron has had a monster year: Regular Season MVP, Finals Champion, Finals MVP & Olympic Gold. While many may still hate on him, Heat President Pat Riley is taking it to another level.
According to Isportstimes:
Pat Riley considers LeBron the greatest player of all time.
The term has been shortened/stylized to be just GOAT. Riley adds a twist to it though: he changes the word “greatest” to “best”.
So yes, the hall of fame former coach and current GM of the Miami Heat calls James “BOAT”.
