Apple mentioned they’re in the process of moving some of their manufacturing to the states. By 2013, they should have a large portion of iMac’s being assembled within the states. One of the most important parts of the iPhone & iPad is already made here in the good ol’ USA. Hit the jump for the story.
After all the problems they’re having with employees at their Foxconn facility, moving manufacturing to the USA is a top priority for Apple. Most don’t know that some of the most important parts that make up the iPhone and iPad are made here in the USA. The A5 and A6 chips are made in Texas. [Most likely Samsung branded] Intel’s technology helped create a smaller scaled processor in New York, which then makes up what is the Apple A5 and A6 mobile processor chips.
