Dennis Rodman just can not seem to stay out of the news ever since his retirement from the NBA, unfortunately it is usually for negative reasons. This time Rodman was about to be held in contempt of court for not paying back child support, and for also paying too little on purpose.

It is no secret in more recent times that Rodman has been having financial trouble and still sometimes battles alcoholism, which could both be contributing factors to him falling behind on payment. Thursday, he was ordered to pay $500,000 in back support to his ex wife with whom he has two children, a boy and girl. The judge made it clear that Rodman will go to jail if he begins to miss payments. This is not the first time he was held in contempt. It also happened in 2010, again for failing to pay child support. In that case besides still being required to make payments, he was sentenced to 104 hours of community service.
