The former running back who never made it to the NFL, has a book coming out where he discusses his college life. He mentions how away from the field life was all about drugs and woman. He states he owned 3 cars while in college including a Cadillac and Lexus. ” I was living the NFL life in college” he said. “I got paid more in college than I ever did now in the UFL” This book was written while he was playing in the UFL (United football league) which is a minor league compared to the NFL. It opens eyes as to how college star athletes live while at school and draws even more attention to school officials allowing athletes to get by,even when they are doing things they are not supposed to. A couple years ago, Jim Tressel, who was Clarett’s coach while at Ohio State, was fired for having too many players get in trouble and break NCAA rules. Maybe with this story coming out he should of been fired years ago.
