Tony Hawk posted a photo on Twitter and Instagram the other day that has people in an uproar! At a first glance, the picture is a cute fun moment of the professional skateboarder with his 4-year-old daughter Kadence, but then you realize something and that’s what has people mad.

You’ll notice in the photo that neither Hawk nor his daughter is wearing a helmet. Hawk, who has more than 3 million followers on Twitter, quickly received tons of angry tweets suggesting that he and his daughter should be wearing more protection.
Hawk did not respond to any followers individually, but he did post another tweet with a message for all those who thought what he was doing was dangerous.

This man invented the 900. That’s 2 and a half complete rotations in the air then landing on a half pipe. I would trust him with his daughter without blinking an eye.
