Toy makers Mattel and Hasbro are in the state of worry as more children are asking for tech devices and not toys. The days of wanting physical toys maybe gone and giving a child a device like the iPad is becoming the norm for holiday gifts. Were does this leave companies like Mattel and Hasbro, unless they start developing their own tablets or tech devices. “The top two guys, Mattel and Hasbro, they are terrified,” Sean McGowan, managing director of equity research at Needham & Company, told the Financial Times. “They should be terrified, but the official party line is they’re not terrified.”
