I’m NOT a parent, but I was a teenager, and we have to be honest with ourselves, the same way they are able to get their hands on alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs teens can (if they want) get their hands on some condoms. Schools in the Philadelphia area want to make getting contraceptives more accessible via the nurse’s office. Some parents are upset. I say do it! Better protected then NOT. Free condoms were available in places like planned parenthood (without a parent’s consent), or a public restroom well before they thought of this idea. If more parents talked to their children on the facts and there was more focus on sex education, then you would be able to trust your child whether or not these dispensers were in their school.
