Ever hear the saying “People value things they pay for,” well it’s true!
College itself is very expensive and everyone want’s to go to the big schools, why? Because of the people, the parties, oh, and the education. Laura Hamilton, a sociology professor at the University of California (Merced), says that if the tuition is high, the grades are low, but why? After doing research on almost all of the colleges with High tuitions and low tuitions, she found a large number of low gpa’s. She said, “It’s a modest effect, not big enough to make the kid flunk out of college, but it was surprising because everybody has always assumed that the more you give, the better your child does,” not always the case.
