17-year-old, Jake Evans, confessed to killing his mother and sister. Hours after being arrested, Evans wrote his confession which says that he was inspired by a movie which he wanted at least three time that week. He said that while watching the movie, he was “amazed at how at ease the boy was during the murders and how little remorse he had afterword.” Evans also said that after he watched the movie and committed the crime, he throw his copy of the film in the garbage so people wouldn’t think it inspired him. 2007’s “Halloween” inspired Evans to commit the murder of his 48-year-old mother and 15-year-old sister on October 3, 2012. The movie is Rob Zombie’s prequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 film.
