Beyonce’s lip-synching gate has made more headlines than the Inauguration itself. As you know, Bey decided to sing to a back track when she sang at President Obama’s second Inauguration. Beyonce said that she chose to sing to the back track because of the lack of sound-check, the weather was bad, she didn’t want to tarnish the day, and that she was saving her voice for her Superbowl performance. We all know Bey can see so I still don’t understand what the big deal is, but I haven’t seen an issue in the back track singing since it happened. Kelly Clarkson, who did sing live at the President’s Inauguration is now speaking out about Bey’s choice. What Kelly said really isn’t shocking to me, judge for yourself below.

Kelly said, “I feel bad for her. Take it from a girl who’s actually stood there and done it. It’s the most nerve-racking situation. And it was cold, y’all. It was so cold.” She later went on to say, “That event is about Obama and Biden and our history and our country. I get the fact that she was like, ‘This isn’t about me, so I don’t want to mess up. I don’t want this to ruin this moment.'” She concluded with saying that she thought about singing with a backtrack as well.
