It’s a heated battle between Team Breezy and the D.A., but Chris is not going down without a fight. No pun intended. Ha! After their court hearing today (because the D.A. said Chris lied about community service, therefore violating the terms of his probation and should be thrown in jail), Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos filed their response, and says the prosecutors seemed to have conveniently left out major info from their case! Details below.
The D.A. claims that “no human being ever witnessed” Chris performing his community service, but Mark said in his documents that Richmond’s deputy police chief “observed Brown working very hard at cleaning the brush at the [police] stables.”
The D.A. also claimed Chris didn’t pay for security (aka supervision from police) during his labor, but Mark included invoices and checks that show Chris paid $31,534.70 to the Richmond PD for their security.
Richmond PD’s general counsel also sent the D.A. documents showing Chris did some of his required community service there in 2009 and 2010.
“What we’ve uncovered so far should shock the conscience of the court,” Chris’ lawyer wrote in the filing. “And this is only the tip of the iceberg.”
We’ll keep you updated! I’m with Chris on this one!

@gualla, now that Richmond PD Chief Norwood has resigned behind the criticism of Chris’s community service records, what do you say now? Is he so innocent and is the LA DA too aggressive? Question? Why would Norwood resign if there was no wrong doing? Oh, did we forget he shouldn’t have been overseeing Brown’s community service in the first place. VA probation department officials should have been monitoring and signing off on Brown’s community service, not the Chief of Police for Richmond. Not to mention the two had a personal relationship which is a conflict of interests. And how on Earth can you support claims of doing community service on days you were undeniably out of town on tour? Smells like good ole corruption to me. But the crazy part is, like everything else Chris has done over the last couple years, he’ll probably walk away from this with little to no punishment.
