Today was media day for the upcoming Daytona 500 next Sunday. Even though there were dozens of drivers in attendance, the hot topic was by far Danica Patrick and her new boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Dating someone you also compete against I am sure will have it’s challenges, but so far the couple seems to be handling it well. Danica was asked how she plans to celebrate Valentine’s day after the media day was over and she said “I bet I’m going to be cooking tonight. I’m the cook. He does not.” She looks good, can drive like a getaway driver, and she cooks? Danica is definitely a keeper. Stenhouse told reporters he got Danica a fancy set of playing cards for V-day. “She has been teaching me some of her card games,” he said, “so I bought some nice cards so we could practice.” Danica is also still waiting on the rest of her luggage and clothes to arrive in Daytona. She had an original flight scheduled from Chicago, but it was delayed. However her luggage was already loaded on to that flight. She was in a hurry so she took a different flight instead but her luggage still has not arrived. If I was Stenhouse I would be happy. That means after media day is over and they are alone in their hotel room, she wont have anything to wear but a towel.. NICE!
