Travis Barker
Blink 182 is heading to Australia for a tour, but Travis Barker will not be joining them. Barker made the announcement that he won’t be joining the rest of his band-mates via Facebook. Barker told fans that he hopes he can make it to Australia some other time with Mark and Tom but only when the time is right. Australia is not the only overseas show Barker will be missing. Find out why he pulled out of the show below.

Barker took to his Facebook page to announce that he is still not over the tragic accident that took the life of his brother Chris Baker and his best friend/personal security, Che Still, back in 2008. The plane crash would ultimately lay a role in the death of DJ Am as well. Barker, who always had a fear of planes, said to fans, “I still haven’t gotten over the horrific events that took place the last time I flew when my plane crashed and 4 people were killed, two being my best friends. I gave the band my blessing to take another drummer if they still wanted to do the tour without me. I hope to come to Australia again some day perhaps by ship if need be. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a boat that worked with the schedule this time around. Once again I’m sorry to all the fans.” I know Blink-182 isn’t the same without the original 3, but in this case I’m sure fans won’t mind.
