Darrelle Revis was speechless a couple weeks ago when reports came out that Woody Johnson wants to explore a possible trade involving Darrelle Revis.  Well he’s not speechless anymore and has got a lot to say!

According to Jane McManus at ESPN:

Darrelle Revis has been listening, but he still hasn’t heard anything from the New York Jets to make him feel confident that he’ll be on the roster next season.

“No,” Revis said in an interview taped last week in Arizona with NFL Network. “I don’t know if they’re doing that because they think that I’m not going to get back to 100 percent? I’m a Jet until they tell me I’m not a Jet.”

The cornerback, who is rehabbing an ACL injury, gave support to the idea that team owner Woody Johnson might not want to pay him what he believes he is worth. Despite that, Revis reiterated that he wants to remain in New York.

“If I do get traded I’m not going to sit here and pout and cry,” Revis said, “but I’ve told them numerous times that I want to be here so it’s up to them and management what they want to do.”

Via CBS Sports:

During an interview Monday night with the NFL Network’s Andrea Kremer (with the transcript thoughtfully typed out by ESPN New York’s Rich Cimini), Revis seemed to absolve New York coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik of any blame on this recent trade talk.

In Ryan’s case, he and Revis have talked, and Ryan apparently has made it clear that he wants to keep Revis around. And in Idzik’s case, when he and Revis met, Idzik gave Revis this impression: “He just said he doesn’t know; he doesn’t know what’s going on, that [story] didn’t come from him. Just from talking to him that one conversation, no, I respect him.”

That leaves Johnson as the culprit in Revis’ eyes.

“It starts from the top, it starts with Woody Johnson,” Revis said.

Kremer asked Revis if he feels like Johnson simply doesn’t want to pay him.

“That might be a situation,” Revis said. “That might be something. That might be an option. If I do get traded, I’m not going to sit here and pout and cry, but I told them numerous times that I want to be there so it’s up to them and management of what they want to do.”
