Bad news for Cash Money Records, they have been hit with a lawsuit for unlawfully using someone’s track. Back in the 1972 The Persuaders had a hit called, “Love Gonna Pack Up (and Walk Out).” Robert Poindexter, a member of the band, is now coming at Cash Money saying one of their artist used the song for a sample but was never cleared to use it. Poindexter’s lawsuit claims that Bow Wow’s “Still Ballin” from 2010 contains a sample from “Love Gonna Pack Up (and Walk Out.) The singer reached out to Cash Money but were directed to Bow Wow’s lawyer who sent him back to Cash Money. Poindexter, who has sued Kanye West and 50 Cent in the past, is seeking 600,000 in punitive damages, along with interest.
