This ia actually a good thing, For awhile now, consumers have been allowed to keep their cellphone number and bring it with them to another carrier. So why not allow consumers to bring their phones as well? Hit the Jump to see what could Happen
This is why I LOVE Big O, Now the F.C.C. & the Obama Administration agrees, as They will urge Congress to overturn a ruling last year by the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress that made it illegal for consumers to unlock their cellphones without getting permission first from their carrier. I would assume for this to work, there will be some sort of exit fee, Allegedly the carrier’s pay more for the phone than you do when you get a 2 yr contract, and they make it up with your monthly bill….But So many New carriers are having you buy the phone straight out to keep your ‘unlimited’ plan lower, Well you kinda are able to do whatever you want with those phones, So if we’re talking contracted phones, we should assume that termination fee should allow you to do whatever with the phone…right?! We’ll see 0_0
