Amazon has stopped the sale of digital copies of SimCity because of SimCity server issues which was preventing buyers from playing the game.
On Amazon’s website they posted warning customers, “Many customers are having issues connecting to the SimCity servers. EA is actively working to resolve these issues, but at this time we do not know when the issue will be fixed.” The digital version of the game is listed as unavailable, but you are still able to purchase the physical copy.
