Dwight Howard went from one of the more loveable players in the NBA, to one of the more annoying ones the past couple seasons. It wasn’t that he did any one thing so dramatic, but his constant lying about wanting to leave the Orlando Magic and his sometimes in-ability to take things serious left a bad taste in people’s mouths. But it seems more importantly guys that he played with for years are also feeling some sort of way towards him. Check it out after the jump.

After Dwight Howard let it slip from his mouth recently that his teammates on the Magic were guys “nobody wanted”, some of those guys are talking back. Dwight has been trying to say he didn’t mean in that way, but come on man, be real for once in your life. That is not a statement that can be confused with anything else. Rashard Lewis and J.J. Reddick, who both played for years in Orlando with Dwight are coming back at Howard. Reddick was quoted as saying “I’m not surprised by it,” Redick told ESPNLosAngeles.com Wednesday evening before his Milwaukee Bucks played the Los Angeles Clippers. “I would be more surprised when Dwight starts taking responsibility. That would be the most negative thing I can say, but that’s the truth.
You can’t take all the credit and not accept any of the blame.” Lewis added “It’s disrespectful more than anything. We helped Dwight become the player he was, we made a good run. Hell, look at those conference and division banners hanging in the stands. They don’t say Dwight Howard on them.” Lewis has a real point. Dwight has proven he isn’t exactly the player everyone thought he was, so for him to run off at his mouth about other guys is wack when he needs to focus on proving to Lakers fans that he was worth the trouble.
