Justin Timberlake hosted and was the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” last night for the fifth time. With the assistance of JT, “SNL” landed the highest ratings in 14 months! The last person to bring in high ratings was Charles Barkley when he hosted in January of 2012 and Kelly Clarkson was the musical guest. Not only did Justin bring out some heavy-hitting guests such as Tom Hanks, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, and Steve Martin, but he also performed “Suit & Tie” with Jay-Z and “Mirrors.” Imagine what ratings would have been liked if he announced that he would have the special guests or that he would be taking shots at Kanye while performing with Jay?! This episode is definitely worthy of all the popularity it is receiving, and I’m so glad I got to see what all the buzz is about. I was worried that I was going to have to miss out on it after all, since I couldn’t make it home from my office at DISH in time to watch. Luckily, I was still able to tune in and see the whole thing live on the bus ride home with DISH Anywhere. Since this nifty app can connect my phone to my DVR’s TV content, it’s easy for me to take all my live and recorded shows with me wherever I go. Without this feature, I would’ve just had to live with being out of the loop on this popular episode.
