On top of his music career, this controversial rapper has added a regular 9-5 gig. “I’m still doing the rapper thing, but I got a legit 9 to 5 now,” he says. I know what you’re thinking…doing what? Well, the Chicago born talent will be the creative director for a new health app called, Higi. The wellness app takes a user’s blood pressure, weight and other vitals as well as social interactions to calculate a score.
It’s funny that I stumble upon this while I was consuming a cheese steak, but it’s O.K.
“The dope part about this, other than just being creative director, is adding value to this company because it adds value to the world,” says the rapper/producer. I think I may have to be on the look-out for this app since I could stand to lose JUST A FEW POUNDS by my birthday.
I know what you’re thinking NOW…who this rapper/producer is, right? Check out who after the jump.
The guy who got kicked out of a show for rapping about President Obama (which was considered a threat) – LUPE FIASCO. So, What do you think about this health app, or the person who is now the creative director for that matter. Let us know in the comments.

Um… he better have something. Threatening the President (verbal or otherwise) is not a good career move! Good luck to him!
I love the fact that Lupe has an opinion. That he doesn’t allow what people take from his music & his actions to effect they way he handles himself as a human being. It’s a beautiful thing really. We could all learn something from him. & for the record what he said about Obama wasn’t a lie, & of that’s the reason he chose not to vote for him so be it. If anything that was a threat to his reelection not the general public or our presidents wellbeing.
That’s not what I would call a regular 9-5..sorry. If the guy didn’t want to go to work for a week, I am sure it wouldn’t be a problem, regular folk would be fired and lose everything.
