Aaliyah

Sadly, this is far too common with musicians that are no longer with us. A publishing company is fighting over the rights to Aaliyah’s songs, suing a record company for allegedly selling Aaliyah’s music on the web without permission.

Reservoir Media Management filed the lawsuit against a company called Craze Productions, claiming Craze has been illegally selling songs from Aaliyah’s albums “Aaliyah” and “One in a Million” albums on iTunes. They say they are the sole owners to the songs after acquiring the music rights in 2012, so Craze needs to be blocked and pay up. We’ll keep you updated!
