In what may be the craziest large-scale act of defiance to the government, environmentalists have gathered an army of 50,000 people who are willing to act out civil disobedience if Obama approves the Keystone pipeline.

For those who don’t know, the Keystone Pipeline is a project from Canada to the US which would drill deep into the earth with high powered water laced with chemicals (fracking) to release natural gas. We are on the brink of being energy self-sufficient (and getting the hell out of the Middle East!) but fracking is potentially dangerous to our water supply and environment. Counties that have already sold their land rights to fracking companies have almost all said it was a mistake. Homes have had water contaminated with gasoline (check out the video below to see a faucet lit on fire) and who knows what drilling deep into the earth will do for an already fragile environment. These environmentalists aren’t taking no for an answer, and people have volunteered from Canada to the Gulf if it gets approved! Yoko Ono’s video about what happened to a county that was fracked should DEFINITELY be seen by everyone. She even wrote an open letter to Governor Cuomo of New York asking him to ban fracking. Check out the video below.
