Could this really be, Blacks leaving Brooklyn?! Hit the jump for more!

According to data from the U.S. Census, it showed more than 60,000 new people moved to Brooklyn between April 2010 and July 2012, Bed-Stuy had the larget change and Whites were the largest demographic of people who moved! Bed Stuy is the new home to about 20,000 people making their population in the area grow by 6%. But, as this was happening the number of blacks has dropped by 14.6 percent. Increased prices in neighborhoods such as Williamsburg, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill and Park Slope are why Bed-Stuy has become such a popluar location. We all know the price of real estate in Manhattan is higher than ever, which leaves Brooklyn residents for the hills—or the suburbs.
