On Wednesday we reported that Too $hort was arrested for DUI on Wednesday. During his arrest, the rapper tried to escape from officers and once arrested the police found drugs on him. At the time, the rapper was booked for a felony possession charge even though he claimed the drugs didn’t belong to him. It turns out that even though he can’t escape the DUI, attempting to escape police, or a drug charge, he will not be charged with a felony possession charge. Read more below.
L.A. County District Attorney has rejected the felony drug charge because the rapper didn’t have enough drugs, which ended up being meth, on him for it to be considered a felony. The D.A.’s office has also taken into consideration his previous felony charges. For now, the City Attorney will have to review the case sometime next week.
