Google

Since last year in December, The Swedish Language Council and Google have been going back and forth over the word “ogooglebar”, when translated into English it’s “ungoogleable”. The Swedish definition for the word simply means something that cannot be found within any search engine. Well Google had a problem with that.

Since Google is in the actual name, the search engine giant would have wanted the definition to mean, something that cannot be found on Google. The Swedish Language Council said the case would be too costly to try to fight. So they decided not to make it an official word. Google it self was merely trying to protect its trademark in fear that if the word was to be approved with the original definition, it would open up doors for anyone to infringe upon the trademark.
