Mayweather v Marquez News Conference

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is always making headlines for his extravagant lifestyle and in your face attitude.  When his “30 Days in May” documentary aired on Showtime Wednesday, of course it was must see TV.  Mayweather gave us an inside look into his thoughts, his way of living and  a day-by-day look at how he spent his last 30 days before turning himself in to serve his jail sentence for domestic violence and harassment.  One thing that was particularly interesting was his thoughts on women.  Read more after the jump.

“When it comes to females, even though you can’t drive 10 cars at one time, but, you got people that got 10 cars,” said Mayweather. “So you’re able to keep maintenance up on 10 cars. So I feel that as far as it comes to females, that same thing should apply. If you’re able to take care of 20 then you should have 20.”

So does that mean Floyd has multiple women? And what does his fiancee, Shantel Jackson, think of his stance?

“I’m not the jealous type,” she says. “I know who I am and I know where we stand. I just feel like when you have that type of relationship where you can be open and honest, I just think it helps the trust and it helps keep things new and fresh. So it doesn’t bother me and it’s never bothered me. I just think when you let a man be him, he will respect you that much to not disrespect you.”

Interesting.  Some would consider her dumb and others would consider her strong for being able to deal with a character like Mayweather.  The fact is she knew what she was signing up for by dating him and it seems like she’s doing just fine with whatever comes her way.  I do remember seeing a clip of the very short-lived reality show “Starter Wives” featuring Mayweather’s ex Josie Harris.  She was very vocal about her relationship with Mayweather including saying that the two still have relations wherever and whenever.  I wonder how Ms. Jackson feels about that?  Not saying it’s okay but random women is one thing, a consistent relationship with an ex you share a long history with is definitely another.
