The bird flu spreads in China
A new strain of the H7N9 virus has infected 20 people in China thus far. Six people have died due to infection of the bird flu. So far there is no evidence to show that the flue is being spread easily from person to person. In order for someone to contract the bird flu, the must come in direct contact with an infected fowl. Hopefully the bird flu can be contained and not become an epidemic like last time. Read more below.

Shanghai has reported two new cases, has been ordered to slaughter all fowl, and to stop the live poultry trade in markets where the virus has been found. Zhejiang and Jiangsu have also suspended live poultry sales after the virus appeared there.
