Google decided that about 60,000 apps weren’t up to its standards and took them off the Play store. This was done to combat with spam as well as wanting to revamp its site. Google didnt single handily pull each app, some were taken down by the publishers. Many of the apps apparently were ringtones and most customers aren’t going to notice the apps missing.
