Verizon Wireless announced it will be changing the upgrade eligibility policy for devices. Customers must now carry out their entire 2 year contract before being eligible for an upgrade. Previously customers could upgrade 4 months earlier before their contract is to expire. Verizon says the policy change is based on how must of its customers purchase devices. This new policy will take place in January of next year. So customers who’s contracts are up in January are the last customers who can do the early upgrade in September of this year.
