Katy Perry for GHD

A British hair company is going up against Katy Perry for $2 million. GHD (which stands for “Good Hair Day”) had a contract worth $4.5 with the pop singer to promote their line from 2011-2013. Her agent claims Katy’s owed an additional $2 million based on an oral agreement to extend her contract, but the suit says there was never an oral agreement, and they have no desire to renew because she’s not that popular anymore. Katy’s team has been threatening to sue for the $2 mil they feel they’re owed, so GHD beat them to it and asked the court to block her from filing anything.

“They’re backing out of the deal because of an ownership change, and just throwing shade to hide their bad faith,” Katy says of the situation. Let’s see how this plays out!
