Magic Johnson knows greatness better than most. And with us all reflecting a little bit about the career of Kobe Bryant, it was Earvin’s turn to weigh in.
To which he went to the highest of praise on his Twitter account:
“Laker Nation: Kobe is the closest thing to Michael Jordan that I have ever seen.”
That right there pretty much says it all. To be in any kind of sentence with MJ is pretty much the equivalent of being knighted in the NBA.
“I played against Larry & Michael who both had a warrior’s mentality,” Johnson also tweeted. “For the last 17 seasons I’ve watched Kobe play with that same mentality!”
