I am still asking myself who thought this was a good idea. Why change the team name after all these years anyway. The New Orleans Hornets have been the Hornets ever since they moved from Charlotte many years ago. Now it is official. The New Orleans Pelicans are here to stay! Some of you might disagree but I think it is one of the ugliest names for a team in professional sports. It makes it even worse that the team sucks. Maybe if they played better the name wouldn’t come off so ugly. The team official website was updated yesterday as the new name went into effect. How do New Orleans fans feel about it? They better start winning some games soon.
