New York City’s MTA announced that starting around 11:00 AM tomorrow, 30 select subway stations will have WiFi and cellphone service underground. Some of the 30 stations are between west 18th to 96th st and included the Time Square area. This roll out is part phase 1, phase 2 will add more stations in December and the city will continue to add service until 2016. As of right now, AT&T and T-Mobile are the only phone companies who’s service reaches underground, the MTA is working on getting more companies to get on board.
