The aftermath of the tragedy that happened in Newtown, CT back in December will be felt for a long time. Sometimes when other events occur, such as the Boston bombings, we tend to forget about events that happened previously that still have an impact. Lebron James is still thinking of the families of the victims of that horrific shooting. See more about it after the jump.

The sneakers Bron wore on December 15th against the Wizards, one day after the shooting are going up for auction. Proceeds will benefit the Newtown Memorial Fund, through the LeBron James Family Foundation. James signature is on one of the shoes, and an inscription of “vs. Wizards 12/15/12 Never forget!!” is on the other. The auction is expected to generate at least $5,000. Every little bit of compassion helps.
