Even though some people in Ohio still hate Lebron for leaving Cleveland, he continues to give back to his home area of Akron. This time he is giving back to the school that helped make him who he is, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He still works out there during the summer, and in a short period of time, the gym will be named after him. Read more after the jump.

The gym, which was built in 1958, has not even been regulation size. It was a couple feet short in total. After Lebron’s donation, a brand new arena is going to be built, and will be renamed “The LeBron James Arena”. Hopefully this summer him and Kevin Durant can go at it at the school again like they did last summer. Make no mistake, even though he is a multi millionaire, $1 million dollars is nothing to laugh at. Another example of giving back to an area or people that helped shape the man he has become.
