We originally reported that Nas got slapped with a $10 million lawsuit for allegedly being a no-show at a concert in Angola. Nas is saying that the lawsuit should be thrown out because the kidnapping was his own fault, and here’s why.
Nas says that the promoter and his son had already planned to go to Angola before he even signed on! Furthermore, the promoted promised that if Nas had returned his $300,000 advance that he would not sue. Nas says the reason he didn’t show up was because he wasn’t paid in full, and the promoter hadn’t made proper travel arrangements for him, including providing enough security. The promoter, Patrick Allocca, and his son were kidnapped and beaten at gunpoint for 50 days. Nas is asking for the case to be thrown out. Who’s right?
